Teko Socks - the answer to your blocked toilet problem

The University of Alaska-Fairbanks have a problem with their plumbing, we hear. Since December, hundreds of child-sized socks have been flushed down the toilets, causing thousands of dollars of damage to the sewage system.

Campus officials admit they don’t know what’s behind it. Maintenance Superintendent Bill Cox said unusual things end up in sewer drains all the time, but the wave of socks has come at an alarming rate — the maintenance staff has a 30-gallon bucket that’s nearly full of socks retrieved from the system. The socks are mainly children’s sizes, and Cox said the strange habit must be costing a fortune.
The socks problem has produced a bad smell in the fine arts center, according to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Sun Star.

Here at socksock, we have the answer. The Teko Organic EcoMerino Chlorine-Free Kids Light Minicrew is the perfect sock to prevent odours and is 20% recycled. (Or of course, you could try using toilet tissue.)
