Do people faint when you are near?

Smelly feet are caused by bacteria and fungi, which live off the sweat in your socks and shoes. It’s simple; your feet get hot, they sweat, the bacteria and fungi tuck in to a delicious meal, and the next time you put your socks and shoes on… eww!
And because the feet have more sweat glands than any other part of the body, if you don’t deal with the problem, it will only get worse.
If you walk, run, cycle or do any sporting activity, your feet are especially prone to sweaty situations. But what can you do to prevent it?
  • Wear socks with good wicking. Good socks will wick the moisture away from your feet, keeping them fresh and healthy and thus preventing fungal infections and blisters.
  • Choose socks with a ventilation system, breathability, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal protection.
  • Change your socks on a regular basis.
  • Don't wear nylon socks - look for fabrics such as CoolMax, Wool Ultra and Merino wool and socks with a moisture management system
  • If you do get sweaty feet, a cheap and easy home remedy is to wipe them clean with cotton wool dipped in surgical spirit.
  • Allow shoes to dry out between use, and if possible, don’t wear the same pair of shoes on consecutive days.
  • Bathe your feet daily in lukewarm water, using a mild soap, and dry thoroughly.
  • Check for fungal infections between your toes and on the bottom of your feet. If you spot redness or dry skin, use an athlete's foot preparation, which is available from your local chemist.
If you do all that and people are still fainting, you know it's for the right reason. :-)
